A number of restaurants across the region have been recognised in a prestigious food good. The British Indian Good Food Guide 2025 has been revealed and celebrates the top 100 Indian restaurants across England, Scotland and Wales.

This year, Raval Indian Brasserie & Bar in Gateshead has been bestowed the Guide’s highest honour of National Champion 2025 - A benchmark of refined Indian cuisine grounded in place, precision and northern hospitality - while venues in the North West have been handed distinctions too.

Indian restaurants contribute billions to the UK economy, with more than 10,000 venues nationwide serving a cuisine enjoyed by nearly 90 percent of Britons each year.
