WASHINGTON COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - Intel is laying off more of its workers, according to a notice released Thursday by the Office of Workforce Investments.
The company is letting go of 669 employees at its four locations in Oregon. According to the notice, these firings started in September. The workers are not represented by a union.
In July, Intel said it laid off 529 workers from its Hillsboro and Aloha campuses.
The company has struggled to keep up in the AI race against chip-making companies like Nvidia.
Earlier this year, the Trump administration reached an agreement with Intel to acquire a 10% stake in the company.
