As I thought about my donation to CAI this year, my mind hit an anxious wall. I’ve grown up with public radio’s excellent reporting, its deep news analysis and its friendly talk shows. I’ve especially valued Woods Hole-based CAI, with voices of people I know talking about places I know and issues that affect my life. Nevertheless, in recent months, I’ve seen CAI’s owner, GBH, become tone-deaf, transactional and deliberately unresponsive to local concerns.
