Dhaka, Nov 14: India’s compound archers delivered a stellar show at the Asian Archery Championships on Thursday, clinching four medals — including three gold — with V. Jyothi Surekha and Abhishek Verma leading the charge.

Jyothi was the standout performer of the day, winning both the women’s individual and team gold medals. She showcased remarkable precision, defeating Chinese Taipei’s Chen Si-yu 149-143 in the semifinals before overcoming 17-year-old compatriot Prithika Pradeep 147-145 in an all-India final.

Earlier, Jyothi, Prithika and Deepshikha combined superbly to edge past Korea 236-234 and secure the women’s team crown. The Indian trio displayed exceptional consistency, scoring an identical 59 in all four ends.
