MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- The parents of an 18-year-old student who was killed in a crash in Manhattan Beach earlier this year have filed a $200 million wrongful death lawsuit.

Braun Levi, who was a tennis player at Loyola High School, was run over by a suspected drunk driver in May while walking along Sepulveda Boulevard.

The lawsuit filed on Wednesday claims the driver, Jenia Resha Belt, was a "repeat offender drunk driver having been previously arrested and prosecuted for drunk driving and causing an injury collision."

Belt was driving on a suspended license at the time of the crash, and records show her license was suspended because of a previous drunk driving arrest.

Belt admitted to drinking beforehand and her blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
