Sen, the seventh seed and currently ranked world No. 15, overcame Loh, world No. 9, in straight games, 21-13, 21-17, in just 40 minutes. This victory extends Sen’s head-to-head advantage over Loh to 7–6. The result is a significant boost for Sen, who recently finished runner-up at the Hong Kong Open in September, and now moves forward to face Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto in the semifinals.
