The Colorado Avalanche signed goaltender Scott Wedgewood to a one-year contract extension on Friday.
The contract runs through the 2026-27 season. No financial terms were announced, but TSN pegged the value at $2.5 million.
Wedgewood, 33, has 14 starts for the Avalanche this season and a 10-1-2 record for the NHL's best team (11-1-5, 27 points). He has a .913 save percentage and a 2.26 goals-against average.
The current five-game winning streak for Wedgewood ties the longest of his career.
Colorado acquired Wedgewood in a trade with the Nashville Predators on Nov. 30, 2024, ane he has a 23-5-3 record, a 2.11 GAA, a .915 save percentage and two shutouts in 33 regular-season games with the Denver club.
