The Mizo National Front (MNF) retained its hold on the Dampa Assembly constituency in Mizoram’s Mamit district after its nominee, R. Lalthangliana, emerged victorious in the by-election held earlier this week. The results, declared on Friday, showed Lalthangliana defeating Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) candidate Vanlalsailova by 562 votes.
