After a well-timed bye week, Greenwood is back and ready for playoff mode against Gaffney. Greenwood coach Chris Liner discussed the bye week, noting that it brings both benefits and challenges as his team prepares for the second-round matchup.

“It’s a good time to get players healthy and take a deep breath,” Liner said. “But when you’re playing well, you want to keep playing and not have to dust some rust off after sitting out a week. So, we’ll see Friday night which one’s better.”

The extra time off did allow the Eagles to heal a few key players, but the real test comes Friday as they take on a familiar opponent at home — a team with which Greenwood has crossed paths many times throughout history.
