Patna, Nov 14: The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) appears headed for a landslide victory in Bihar, leading in more than 180 of the state’s 243 assembly seats, with early trends showing the BJP on track to post its biggest tally yet.
According to the Election Commission’s website by noon, the BJP was leading in over 80 of the 101 seats it contested, positioning itself as the single-largest party and reinforcing its dominance nationally. The JD(U), backed strongly by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was ahead in more than 70 seats, marking a significant improvement from its 43-seat tally in 2020.
The LJP(RV), led by Union Minister Chirag Paswan, showed a stellar performance with leads in over 20 of 29 seats contested. In contrast, the RJD lagged with leads in fewer than 40 seats,
