Australia’s newest rich-lister will take time to soak in the enormity of their $50 million lotto win before claiming their prize and rolling into Christmas with some serious extra spending power.

Powerball draw 1539 produced the winning numbers 22, 10, 6, 15, 2, 8 and 7 on Thursdsay. The Powerball was 13.

The only player to match all eight vital numbers , scoring them the entire division one jackpot, is a West Australian who tried their luck using a ticket bought online.

“Our customer service team has been able to contact the winner this morning,” Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said on Friday.

“The winner is very much in shock, processing this life-changing news, and they will be coming to Lotterywest HQ to claim their prize over the coming weeks when they’re ready.”
