ONAWAY – Steve Watson remembers it like it was yesterday.
Years ago, the Onaway volleyball coach watched one of his future players have a difficult day.
“She was in junior high and she was just in tears because she couldn’t get the ball over the net on her serving,” Watson recalled. “Somehow, she became the most prolific blocker in Onaway history.”
That player – senior Amya Janusky – is still at it on the court years later, but during the final days of her career, there weren't many tears shed.
Just records being broken.
