LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - We’ve got areas of patchy fog as you are stepping out the door this morning, so you’ll want to pay close attention as you head to work and school.

Temperatures will begin to warm quickly through the afternoon as we see a mix of sun and clouds with a nice southerly wind.

Highs will top out in the upper 70s to near 80s, but may feel a few degrees warmer with a touch more humidity.

If you have plans to be outdoors this evening or even into the weekend, the weather looks nice to do so as high pressure remains in place just to the east.

We’ll continue to see temperatures into the lower 80s through Sunday as humidity will continue to build as southerly winds build as we are awaiting the arrival of our next front.
