Plans to expand and remodel the visitor centre at a local National Trust property have been revealed.

The charity has applied for planning permission for the works at Packwood House in Lapworth.

Described as a "modest extension", the renovations will "enhance the visitor experience".

The application to Warwick District Council explained: "These proposed changes relate to the visitors' centre to cope with the increasing footfall and functional issues of the space whilst enhancing the visitor experience within the conservation setting."

Works would see a freestanding canopy installed to the rear for shaded tables which could be removed when required.

The path to the front of the centre would be remodelled to adjust to the new extension and the existing one would be turned to planting.
