An Indian Air Force (IAF) Pilatus PC-7 basic trainer aircraft crashed near Tambaram in Chennai on Friday afternoon during a routine training sortie. The incident occurred around 2 pm.

The IAF reported that the aircraft was engaged in a regular training mission when it went down close to the Tambaram air base. The pilot successfully ejected before the crash and is safe, with no injuries reported.
