A British man has collapsed and died after undergoing a hair transplant and dental procedures in cut-rate medical tourism hotspot Turkey.
Mentor Rama, 36, a British citizen originally from Albania, flew into the country last week and underwent a hair transplant at a privately-owned clinic.
The next day he visited a specialist for dental treatment. Shortly after he returning to his hotel in the Sisli district, renowned as a hub for medical tourism, he began to feel unwell and collapsed.
Emergency services rushed him to Seyrantepe Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital but he could not be revived and died on November 11.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Mr Rama’s death and The Sun reports they are treating it as a possible “reckless homicide”.
