Veteran actor Kamini Kaushal died at her Mumbai home at the age of 98. Her career helped shape the early years of Indian cinema, and she continued working for more than seven decades. Her death was confirmed by a close family friend to PTI.

Kaushal began her film career with the classic 'Neecha Nagar' in 1946, quickly becoming one of Hindi cinema's earliest female stars. Over the decades, she appeared in numerous acclaimed films, including 'Do Bhai' (1947), 'Shaheed' (1948), 'Nadiya Ke Paar' (1948), 'Ziddi' (1948), and 'Shabnam' (1949).
