A video of Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi has gone viral on social media, where he was seen speaking personally to the Sri Lanka cricketers who had panicked after a blast in Islamabad and wanted to return home during a three-match ODI series.
The meeting aimed to lift team morale and reaffirm the Pakistan Cricket Board’s commitment to the safety of players and staff. Naqvi spoke with both teams, expressing support and thanking Sri Lanka for continuing the series despite recent concerns.
The crisis was triggered by a suicide blast in Islamabad on Tuesday that claimed 12 lives, occurring just hours before the first ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was all set to begin in Rawalpindi.
