Tributes to 'bright, kind and loving' teenager who died a day after leukaemia diagnosis View Image

Tributes have been pouring in for a well-liked teenager who tragically passed away just a day after being diagnosed with leukaemia.

Harley Andrews, 16, was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital on Saturday where, according to fundraisers, he was informed he had an 'aggressive form' of blood cancer. In a 'devastating turn', they say he sadly died early the next day (November 9).

He was a local amateur footballer, initially playing for his dad's team, Leigh Town, before transferring to Astley and Tyldesley FC in January 2023. It is said that he played a 'pivotal part' in a league and cup double victory in 2024.
