The Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in the trends and has emerged as the single largest party in the 2025 Assembly polls. The party is leading on over 90 seats. Let us take a look at who will be the prime contenders or frontrunners in the race for the Deputy Chief Minister’s post.

In the present government, the party has two Deputy CMs-Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha- who are leading in their constituencies, Tarapur and Lakhisarai, respectively.

These leaders may be repeated by the party, and both are strong contenders. The party had already appointed Tarkishore Prasad, who is leading from Katihar by a huge margin, and Renu Devi, who is leading by over 15,000 votes. The two leaders may get another chance for the role of deputies.
