BROOKLYN (WABC) -- Family, friends and the members of the FDNY are coming out to mourn Firefighter Patrick Brady during a wake on Friday.

He died last Saturday after he went into cardiac arrest while fighting a fire in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

Brady's wake is being held at Marine Park Funeral Home in Brooklyn on Friday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

It's a moment for New York's Finest to remember their fallen brother.

"It's absolutely important to display brotherhood and support the family," said Daniel Coleman of Battalion 3. "It's going to take a long time, but every day he'll be missed and I just hope they gain some kind of peace at some point."

The funeral will be held at the Church of St. Francis de Sales in Belle Harbor, New York on Saturday, November 15, at 11 a.m
