MADISON, Wis. -- The Goodman Community Center needs your help for the annual Thanksgiving Basket Drive. Now in its 37th year, they're once again lifting up local residents in preparing a traditional holiday meal. The donations period starts Saturday, Nov. 15.
News 3 Now is once again proud to sponsor the event.
Since its founding, the drive has become a community staple, supported by long-time staff, volunteers and returning children.
This year, the Center registered 4,000 families in record time, representing more than 25,000 residents of Dane County, including over 10,000 children.
Registered families will receive everything needed to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal, thanks to contributions of food, time and money from community partners. Hundreds of volunteers are mobilized
