SARAJEVO (Reuters) -Two women died on Thursday evening in hospital in town of Tuzla in northeastern Bosnia, bringing the death toll from a fire at a retirement home earlier this month to 15, the Tuzla prosecutor’s office said on Friday.
The fire broke out on November 4 on the seventh floor of the building where the victims were accommodated. Ten people died during the night from breathing carbon monoxide and five more succumbed in following days.
Ten people are still being treated, and one of them is in critical condition, hospital officials said.
The fire was caused by a short circuit in the room of one of the home’s residents, the prosecutor’s office said.
Investigations will continue to determine responsibility for the accident, it said.
