Deputies in Volusia County arrested a man who fled into the swamp at DeLeon Springs State Park after abandoning a stolen car and allegedly threatening officers.
A VSO K-9 unit apprehended Earl Dorey on Friday after spending several days in the swamp.
The incident began when deputies attempted to stop a stolen car with three occupants. Two individuals were apprehended, but Dorey managed to escape into the wilderness.
Bodycam footage from a deputy shows the tense moments as deputies, accompanied by a dog, tried to catch Dorey.
The sheriff's office reported that Dorey pointed a gun at them and threatened to kill himself before disappearing deeper into the swamp.
