FAYETTEVILLE -- The University of Arkansas is preparing for and is likely to see a dual-quarterback scenario Saturday at LSU.
LSU interim Coach Frank Wilson pulled senior Garrett Nussmeier in the second half of last week's 20-9 loss at Alabama and replaced him with sophomore Michael Van Buren, a transfer from Mississippi State. The change came after Nussmeier was subject to a wicked facemask penalty, but Van Buren remained in action even as Nussmeier said he was able to return.
So the Razorbacks (2-7, 0-5 SEC) could be facing a third consecutive opponent with a two-quarterback system when it takes on the Tigers (5-4, 2-4) at 11:45 a.m. Central in Baton Rouge.
