Prisons are in “crisis mode” and it’s fuelling more crime, according to MPs. Terrible conditions behind bars is risking the ability to rehabilitate offenders and cut crime, a committee of politicians warned. ‌

In a brand new report published today (Friday), the experts found there is overcrowding in jails as well as staff shortages and dire living conditions among the issues that need sorting out. ‌
