Alongside the Bihar assembly polls verdict, the results for the bypolls in held in eight assembly segments across six states and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir was announced on Friday.

The eight assembly constituencies that went for bypolls are: Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam and Nagrota, Jharkhand's Ghatsila, Mizoram's Dampa, Rajasthan's Anta, Odisha’s Nuapada, and Punjab's Tarn Taran.

Among these, Mizoram's Dampa recorded the highest turnout at 82.3%, followed by Rajasthan's Anta (80.3%), Odisha’s Nuapada (79.4%) and Jammu & Kashmir's Nagrota (75.1%).
