New Delhi: The Indian auto industry has clocked its highest-ever wholesales for any October, with all major segments, passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers registering record despatches. This sharp uptick was driven by festive demand during Navratri and Diwali, along with the impact of reduced Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates that kicked in late September.
As per the latest data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), strong dealer push across urban and rural markets helped vehicle makers hit new highs in despatch volumes.
