There will be travel disruption for passengers travelling through Victoria station on Friday evening (November 14), Travel for Greater Manchester (TfGM) bosses have confirmed.

Due to "essential repair" work on a damaged rail, trams will not be able to run through Victoria train station from around 8pm.

Passengers can instead use the city centre free bus services or make the short walk, approximately 5 minutes, between Victoria and Exchange Square to connect to onward Metrolink services across the city centre.

Normal service across all lines is expected to be in place tomorrow morning.
