Charity shops can be quite hit or miss. But bargain hunting could mean you stumble across a few hidden gems, from rare coins to old DVDs, as well as vintage clothing.
Now just recently a woman was left floored after spotting a 1962 Barbie doll in a thrift shop. She clocked the item was still in its original packaging with a price tag of $2 (£1.52) so thought she had to snap it up quick – and lucky she did. Now writing in a post on Reddit , the woman explained: "Some how on a busy Saturday, a boxed 1962 Barbie was just sitting on a shelf for $11. Still has original $2 tag."
The Barbie doll in question was the 1962 Mattel Platinum Blonde Bubble Cut Barbie in the Box and it's currently listed for $599.95 (£456) on The Toys Time Forgot.
