In a new twist to Nuapada’s political trend, Shreemayee Mishra once again launched a sharp attack on the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday.

Without naming the party directly, Shreemayee posted on social media, “A pathetic defeat is certain,” alleging that those who humiliate women have tarnished the image of the so-called “Golden or Subarna Lanka” (referring to the epic Ramayana).

Shreemayee even drew parallels to the downfall of ancient dynasties, claiming that Odisha’s leading political force has been given a strong message by women voters. The BJD has not yet responded to her remarks.
