GREENVILLE, Pa. - A Mercer County man who pleaded “not contest” to first degree felony child rape awaits sentencing early next year.
Christopher Charles Uhrin, 62, of Greenville, entered the plea last week to one charge of Rape of Child. Mercer County Court of Common Pleas Judge Tedd Nesbit accepted the plea.
Uhrin was accused of sexually assaulting a child as young as four years old over seven months, according to a police report.
Uhrin was originally arrested in December 2024 and faced eight felony charges. The other charges against him were dismissed by the prosecution as part of the plea arrangement.
Uhrin is scheduled for Sentencing Court on February 18, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Courtroom 1. Judge Nesbit will preside over the sentencing.
Uhrin’s bail was initially set at $250,000 m
