The Pack Fire in California continues to set thousands of acres ablaze, and homes in the area are under evacuation orders due to an "immediate threat to life", according to Cal Fire.
The Pack Fire, which was discovered on Thursday, Nov. 13, started in Mono County, located around 147 miles southeast of Sacramento, California, according to Cal Fire.
The fire has consumed 3,400 acres and is 5% contained.
The fire is burning about 15 miles southeast of Mammoth Mountain, a popular ski resort.
As of Friday morning, Nov. 14, the fire has damaged 15 structures and threatens 30, according to Cal Fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Mono County communities under evacuation orders and warnings
The Long Valley and McGee Creek communities remain under evacuation, according to Cal Fire. But residents of Crowley Lake were set to be escorted back to their homes after the mandatory evacuation order placed for the area was downgraded to a warning.

The communities of Aspen Springs, Hilton Creek, Convict Lake, and Sunny Slopes are under evacuation warnings.
