RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav defeated BJP’s Satish Kumar from the Raghopur constituency with a margin of over 14,532 votes.
Earlier, Tejashwi was trailing in the initial rounds, but he took the lead and left his opponent behind with a huge margin. Tejashwi’s party suffered a massive setback in the Assembly polls as it failed to cross the mark of 30 seats.
Tejashwi had claimed a day before counting that the RJD would form the government and return to power. He was also seen giving warnings to state officials while asking them to ensure transparency.
Satish Kumar had lost the elections in 2020 and 2015 against Tejashwi Yadav.
In 2005, Satish Kumar switched to Nitish Kumar-led Janata Dal (United) and contested the elections from Raghopur. However, he was defeated by Rabri Devi by a margin of
