A woman has opened a new dessert restaurant after she was inspired by her nan’s cooking. Spellbindingly Sweet opened its doors on November 8, along Royston High Street.

The shop, owned by Amy Casling, serves cakes, crepes, milkshakes, bubble tea, as well as healthier breakfast options. Amy said the idea to open a dessert place came from a popular cake shed she ran in town.

She said: “The cake shed was so popular. We were quite limited in what we could put in there, and I had people saying to me if we had somewhere permanent, they would be going there all of the time.

“When it got to summer with the hot weather , I had to shut it. I knew it was doing well, but when I closed it I found out how well it was really doing.”
