A 19-year-old man, who police say had been arrested for driving with a suspended license, injured two workers at a Charlestown tow yard as he tried to drive his car off the lot, Massachusetts State Police said.

Diogo Silva, of Medford, is set to be arraigned in Somerville District Court on Friday on charges including assault and battery with a deadly weapon causing serious injury, according to State Police.

The incident began when State Police arrested the man for driving with a suspended license, the agency said in a statement. When the man went to the tow yard to retrieve his car, the tow company refused to release it to him.
