Aston Villa ’s Victor Lindelof is at the centre of a fitness scare on international duty with Sweden.

Defender Lindelof is said to have missed training with his national team on Friday, ahead of a World Cup qualifier against Switzerland on Saturday.

And reports in Sweden say he is “suffering from a medical condition”, with Sweden’s press manager Petra Thorén reportedly saying: “A little feeling. He works with physiotherapists in the gym.”

It is unclear if Lindelof will be passed fit to play for his country against Switzerland, with new Sweden head coach Graham Potter expected to give an update on his condition at a Friday afternoon press conference.
