In a bid to safeguard consumer interests and ensure seamless access to essential cooking fuel, the Odisha government has issued strict directives to public oil companies operating within the state.
During a high-level meeting chaired by Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare, emphasis was placed on eliminating delays in LPG cylinder deliveries and maintaining robust supply chains.
Singh underscored that there should be “no compromise” on the timely delivery of gas cylinders to consumers, urging companies to prioritise stock availability and stability in distribution networks. He highlighted the need for sufficient LPG reserves across the state to prevent shortages, while also addressing consumer grievances promptly.
