2025 has been a year of resilience and continued growth for the port of Penang.
Despite Asia deployment being impacted by the situation in the Red Sea region, the port is experiencing a positive and stable season.
“A key highlight was the maiden call of Cunard’s Queen Anne,” said Khairul Anuar bin Ahmad, head of cruise and ferry operations.
“We are thrilled to welcome our new daily cruise ship, the Berlin Oceanis, which has been operating since July, and the Piano Land, which will homeport in Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal starting at the end of November,” Ahmad told Cruise Industry News in an interview.
“We are confident in our trajectory, focusing on attracting more cruise lines and itineraries.”
