CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Local and state leaders will address the deployment of Border Patrol to Charlotte during a Friday morning press conference.
The briefing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, .
Officials said speakers will call for clarity from the federal government and reaffirm their commitment to public safety, constitutional rights, and the well-being of Charlotte residents.

Mecklenburg County Sheriff Garry McFadden said federal officials contacted him on Wednesday, Nov. 12, making him aware of Border Patrol’s deployment to Charlotte.
