ATLANTA — Atlanta Police said they are investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old man dead on Thursday night.

According to police, the incident happened inside one of the buildings along McDaniel Street Southwest. Officers were called to the area at around 11:30 p.m., where police say they found the victim in a fitness center with an apparent gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers said this was not a random act, but targeted between the victim and the suspect.

The name of the victim and the identity of the suspect have not been released at this time.
