A "blood-stained passenger" boarded the cab of an empty Heathrow Express train in London, causing the driver to run for his life.
The driver raised the alarm with the GWR Control team, and British Transport Police later detained the man under the mental health act. The out-of-service Class 387 train, running from London Paddington to Reading, was held at a red signal near Southall East Junction at around 11.47pm on Saturday, Rail Magazine reports.
The driver is said to have been "fearing for his life" as he fled the cab.
Great Western Railway said the "unsettling" incident was quickly brought under control.
