SACRAMENTO, California — A federal grand jury has indicted Cornelius Houston, a 34-year-old from Elk Grove, on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced. Houston was allegedly found with loaded Glock handguns on two separate occasions in August and October 2025.
Houston, who has prior felony convictions for robbery and the transportation, sale, or distribution of a controlled substance, is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition, according to court documents. The case stems from an investigation by the Sacramento Police Department with assistance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
