NEW DELHI: "Bihar ke logon ne garda uda diya," declared Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his first address after National Democratic Alliance (NDA) secured a historic win in Bihar Assembly Elections on Friday. Hailing "Chhathi Maiyya", he extended his gratitude to the voters for "rejecting appeasement politics of the opposition". Highlighting the high voter turnout in the state, especially that of women, PM Modi said that the people had given a new "positive MY formula, and that is Mahila and youth". Referring to the opposition to the Special Intensive Revision in Bihar and "vote chori" allegations, PM Modi said that the high voter turnout had "further strengthened the public's trust in the Election Commission of India".
