HIGH POINT, N.C. —
A fight over a turkey led to a shootout outside a North Carolina grocery store Thursday night, according to police.
The shooting was reported just after 6 p.m. at the Food Lion on North Main Street in High Point.

When officers arrived, they found one man who had been shot in the arm.

According to information gathered at the scene, the situation started inside the store when a customer began to argue with an employee over a turkey.
Another customer stepped in, and the two customers began to argue and fight, according to police. They said one customer went outside and got a gun.
When he started to walk back to the store, the other customer walked out, the two men exchanged gunfire and one man was shot in the arm.
