President Donald Trump may be pushing more young women to want to leave the United States permanently, a new poll suggested.
The new Gallup poll , released Thursday, found for the second year in a row that about 1 in 5 Americans would like to move permanently to another country. TThe figure is largely driven by an increasing share of young women who said they would like to permanently move out of the U.S.
The poll showed that 40% of women aged 15 to 44 said they would move to another country if given the opportunity, which is about 10 times the share of women who said the same in 2014. This is similar to the 44% who said the same in 2024, according to Gallup.
The poll also showed a stark difference with men in the same age group. Just 19% of men said they would move abroad permanent
