KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — University of Tennessee leaders said military planes will be practicing Friday afternoon to get ready for tomorrow's homecoming game against New Mexico State.

The university hasn't done any flyovers during the shutdown of the federal government. The school made the announcement back on Oct. 9.

UT police said two F-35 aircrafts are expected to make two separate passes over campus to prepare for Saturday's game at 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Police warn that the aircraft are loud and the campus community will likely hear them.

There have been flyovers for the Vols games against ETSU, Georgia and UAB so far this year.
