A Pennsylvania man was shot in the back by his own dog, police say. Officers from the Shillington Police Department in Berks County said they are still investigating the incident, which left the man in the hospital. According to the 53-year-old, he had been cleaning his firearm and placed it on the bed. He then sat on the bed, and the dog hopped up on it too. The gun discharged, and the man received injuries to his lower back. The dog “jumped onto the bed and set the gun off,” an officer said, according to ABC News.
