ISLE OF PALMS — The Harbor Golf Course at Wild Dunes Resort hasn’t been the same since Hurricane Hugo severely damaged it just four years after opening in 1985.
For months, the layout was under water along with the rest of Isle of Palms and remained closed until 1991. The Tom Fazio-designed tract was never the same, permanently altered with rerouted holes and erosion.
That is until now. The course has reopened after a major, six-month restoration that returned it to the way it was always meant to be designed — with modern upgrades and playability for all in mind.
