A 34-year-old Jersey City woman was arrested after Saddle Brook Police found a stolen license plate during a motor vehicle stop on Route 46, authorities said.

The incident happened on Thursday, Nov. 13, when a Saddle Brook Patrol Officer stopped a Honda Odyssey in the Saddle Brook Shopping Center at 189 Route 46 West, according to Chief John A. Zotollo, Jr.

Police said the vehicle “was affixed with a NJ license plate that had been reported stolen out of Jersey City.” Officers said their on-scene led to the arrest of Jennie L. Santiago for being in possession of the stolen license plate and providing false information about her identity.

Santiago was charged with receiving stolen property and hindering apprehension. She was taken to the Bergen County Jail pending her first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
